I saw this idea for an Easter egg hunt lunch on Pinterest and felt it had my boys’ names written all over it. When Carson did his usual routine of asking what we were having for lunch I told him it was a surprise, which wasn’t a smart move on my part because then I kept catching little eyes peeking into the kitchen, trying to see what I was up to. When it was time to eat they were so excited to see what I had waiting for them. They loved opening their eggs and discovering what all was inside. The excitement, of course, briefly halted when Carson got to the egg containing carrots, but returned once he discovered M&M’s…sigh. Carson asked me if this was how the Easter bunny ate his lunch and I told him this is exactly how I would think the Easter bunny eats his lunch. I love his inquisitive little mind!
